Gotta Play is one of the major video game rental services on the Internet. It has more than 4000 games on all the old gaming platforms and the latest ones like PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. They also rent PSP movies and games for the popular portable systems such as the Sony PSP or Nintendo DS or Gameboy Advance.
It offers one of the fastest rental services at the best prices, and Game Shield offers protection of shipments from damage, loss or theft. They also have a trading program that allows gamers to trade their games with others. There is a free 10 day trial offer that allows users to test the service before joining.
Feature Set:
The trading feature offered is unique as it allows users to get games by just trading them with other gamers instead of using a rental plan. This is regulated by a system where Game Points are awarded to traders when they successfully send and deliver games in a timely manner. To receive requested games, a trader must have a minimum number of Game Points in his account. Gottaplay’s GameShield can be purchased to ensure games will not be lost, stolen or damaged else Gottaplay will replace the game.
GottaPlay has improved their individual game pages to display a wide-ranging selection of information that includes a short description, member and editor reviews, screenshots, videos and a 1Up.com rating. But, the ratings seem to vary from those on 1Up’s own site.
There are no due dates or late fees and free two way shipping is offered for both trades as well as rentals. Parental Control is however, not available.

GottaPlay has a much improved search option. Games can be searched from 12 categories defined by the type of game and one can use the search box option to locate a specific title or browse by genre. But, there is no option that allows search of games by the platforms they are compatible with.
Video Game Arrival Time:
Gotta Play has nine distribution centers across the country and most games get delivered by 2-3 days. The feature that allows tracking of games via your account is a great one to relieve anxiety about deliveries and also helps reduce lost games. A tie up with the Postal Department like GameFly would greatly help the turnover times of Gotta Play.
Available Plans:
Gotta Play has three different payment plans available depending on the number of games you wish to rent at a time. Three trading plans are also available on a per trade, monthly or unlimited trade basis.
Summary:
Gotta Play are a vastly improved service that keeps updating itself. The trading feature is exclusive and not provided by any other rental websites. Additionally, with nine distribution centers across the country, the turnaround is quite fast.
